The focus of public health interventions is to prevent and manage diseases, injuries and other health conditions through surveillance of cases and the promotion of healthy behaviors, communities and environments. Our aim is preventing from happening or re-occurring health problems by implementing educational programs, developing policies, administering services, and conducting research.
We also address the issue of access of individuals and communities to health care, in terms of financial, geographical or sociocultural constraints in access to and use of services.
Slcbo’s public health system include areas of maternal and child health, HIV aids, health services administration, emergency response, and prevention and control of infectious and chronic diseases.
In line with healthier upbringing with the children in the boarding home, the organization wished to build a health centre which shall serve the health need of the children. This health centre will be staffed with well trained and committed medical staff.
The people of Bonthe community will themselves benefit from this facility. The centre will provide nutrition guidance for the children, offer vaccination and ensure that a strict vaccination programme is followed. It will also provide pregnant women with maternity clinic check-ups while advising community people on the use of contraceptives for HIV/AIDS prevention.I tilknytning til skolen ønsker organisasjonen å bygge en helsestasjon for barna.
